Seeds of Friendship

Bible Verse: Proverbs 11: 30
  • Proverbs 11: 30 reads “The seeds of good deeds become a tree of life; a wise person wins friends.”
  • You might be thinking that the little things you are trying to do for your friends as you serve God in your school, are a waste of time. Yet look! Look now at how that verse reads. It says the word ‘seeds’.
  • We all know that trees take time to grow. They start of as some kind of seed [acorn, conker, apple pip], and it takes years for them to get to maturity.
  • It’s our job to sow seeds for God in the lives of our friends. There’s no pressure on us to make them believe in God. It’s God’s job to call men and women to believe in Him, through the power of the Holy Spirit. It’s our job to want to be a part of God’s work.
  • So, this week, pray for your friends and don’t give up in planting, watering and scattering the seeds of good deeds in your non-Christian friends’ lives. If you do this, you’re wise. And wise people win friends. And from there, you can introduce them to the living Jesus; our greatest friend.
