What Have You Done?
Have you ever asked 'what can I do in my community?'
It can be tough sometimes coming up with new ideas so this week the challange is for all of us to share something of what God has been doing through us in our local communities. Below are a couple of stories but please add your own so we call all pray for the work you are doing.
Remember, as Hope Revolution, we are a community so it is important for us to encourage and support each other!
'There are lots of ways that God is working in my town because a new Christian youth group has just opened and it takes in lots of people and helps them as well as being a fun club on thursday evening. Also people are going out at night in groups and praying for drunk people and people in need, they bring with them flasks of hot chocolate and now some are becoming Christians!'

'I work for St Andrew's Community Network, as there Money Management Worker.
The community network runs many groups such as toddler groups for ages 0-5, coffee shop, breakfast cafe, listening service, depression group to name a few, but two groups in particular have been extremely beneficial for us to develop our relationship with people in our community these are:
We have just recently opened a Credit Union in our Church to encourage people to budget and save for future events, such as a holiday, Christmas; instead of relying on loans to fund these activities.
It has been a great way of meeting our community and getting to know them. For some of the people who have joined and don't have much contact with people it has been invaluable to them.
Alongside this we also have a Debt Advice centre which has been running for a few years, but with funding received to employ myself and enable me to focus on promoting the group, we have been able to help and advice many people and the results that this has had on the people we have helped has been amazing. God's timing has been perfect and we feel very privileged to be able to help.'
