Out of Order
Imagine getting up in the morning and going through your normal morning ritual. For me this involves going to the toilet, having a shower, getting dressed, cleaning up any mess my puppy has made overnight, then having a drink and some breakfast. Now imagine doing all these thing using the same water.
For millions of people in the world today this is a reality. They are force to use the same water sources to bathe, drink and go to the toilet. As you can probably imagine the water itself is very polluted and not at all safe, but it is the only water they have.
Its quite rare for us to take time to think about how lucky we are to have clean running water. In fact, I have been known to accidentally leave a tap running, inadvertently wasting gallons of water. Even when we become passionate about helping others we should also remember to thank God for all we have.
Tear Fund are running a campaign at the moment to get the government to help tackle the problems with water supplies in developing countries, and they need your help.
All you need to do is head to www.tearfund.org/Make+Life+Flow and click on the ‘Act Now’ box. This site gives you the opportunity to fill out a short form that will send a message straight to Gordon Brown to let him know that we want to see change. Tear fund are looking to get over 50,000 messages to Gordon Brown so encourage all you friends to fill the form in as well.
A few seconds of your time may change the lives of millions of people worldwide.
