What to Wear

Wouldn’t it be great if your friends just asked you about your faith? If they saw something that made them want to ask ‘what’s that all about?’

One way to get these sort of questions started is through the clothes you wear.
There are some great Christian clothing companies out there. Some want you to be very upfront about your faith with slogans like ‘Hard Core Christian’ and ‘Does My Faith look Big in This?’. Others prefer to have a more subtle message that is designed to get people asking what it’s all about.
Both approaches will hopefully get your friends talking, its just down to you which you prefer.

In Yer Faith (www.inyerfaith.co.uk) are a market leader in upfront Christian clothing. One of the benefits with their site is that you can choose any of their logos and put it on whatever type or colour clothing you want. You can search a vast array of logos and slogans until you find the right one for you.

Saccloth Anashes (www.sacclothanashes.com) is a newer name in Christian clothing. They have a range of clothing called ‘State of Theart’
This range is all about showing friends what you are passionate about, through the designs that you wear. In the Bible whether they were interceding, mourning, repenting or incessantly praying for God to change things, when different people wore sackcloth and sat in ashes/dust and poured ashes/dust on their heads, it was an outward sign of what was going on inside their hearts, it showed that they had a passion for something in their lives, they desperately wanted God to heal, save, forgive or change things.
These guys produce some brilliant designs without being too over the top or ‘in your face’

Rise (www.rise-worldwide.com) ) has been a big name in the Christian Skater and hip-hop scene for a few years now. their name comes from the Bible verse "Do not gloat over me my enemy, for though I have fallen, I will RISE.” Micah 7:8. the general ethos of the company is to produce clothes that not only look good but give a strong message of overcoming the odds.

My only warning with wearing these sorts of clothes is that you have got to be always ready and willing to discuss your relationship with God with people you meet. Jesus calls us to spread the word around all nations, maybe this would be a good starting point.
